An implant replaces the tooth root, and the new crown sits on top of it. For you, that means chewing, speaking and laughing as with your own teeth, without healthy neighbouring teeth being ground down. In Weißenfels we plan every implant three-dimensionally, as a rule place it using X-Guide navigation and make the crown in our own laboratory. On request, the procedure takes place under sedation or general anaesthesia, on our premises.
Single-tooth implant with crown: from 4,090 € out-of-pocket amount, fixed subsidy already deducted, including 3D X-ray, 3D planning and X-Guide navigation. Who treats you
Dr. med. dent. M.Sc. Sandro Strößner has practised implantology since 2013, holds a Master of Science in Oral Implantology and Periodontology (Steinbeis University Berlin in cooperation with the German Society of Implantology, 2020 to 2022), has been a member of the DGI since 2019 and has been listed with the Leading Implant Centers since 2022, an international directory that admits practices after a review of training and experience. Since 2025 the practice has been a partner practice in the Straumann Group's Immediacy programme, which requires documented case numbers in immediate implant placement and a digital planning workflow. The programme is a manufacturer partnership, not an independent certification.
Surgical procedures are also carried out by Dr. Zviad Pholadashvili, employed dentist with a focus on oral surgery.
How it works
- Initial consultation and 3D scan. We look at how much bone there is and where the nerves and the sinus lie. Please bring any existing X-rays with you.
- Planning on screen. We define the position, length and axis of the implant digitally. You see the plan, the timeframe and the out-of-pocket amount before you decide. What this looks like is shown in the X-Guide video further down.
- Procedure. With X-Guide navigation we generally place the implant as planned, often without an incision or sutures. How long the procedure takes depends on its extent and the number of implants: one implant about half an hour, a whole jaw with six implants and a sinus lift three to four hours.
- Healing. Over three to six months the bone grows onto the implant. During this time you wear a temporary restoration from our laboratory if needed.
- Crown. After a scan instead of an impression, the crown is made in the in-house master laboratory, and the master dental technician checks colour and shape directly at the chair.
- Aftercare. Check-up after one week, then regular implant prophylaxis. The aftercare companion gets in touch on your phone.
When an implant is the right solution
- One tooth is missing. The implant closes the gap without the neighbouring teeth having to be ground down for a bridge.
- Several teeth are missing. Two or more implants support a bridge; the jawbone continues to be loaded and is more likely to be preserved.
- All teeth are missing or the denture does not hold. Four to six implants support a fixed bridge, often on the day of surgery: Fixed teeth in a day. Alternatively, Locators hold a removable denture securely in place.

When bone is lacking
If bone is lacking, it can in many cases be rebuilt, often in the same procedure. We use: sinus lift (external and internal) for low bone height in the lateral upper jaw, bone spreading and bone splitting for a ridge that is too narrow, the bone block method for larger defects, and autologous blood concentrate (PRF) to support wound healing. Whether and which augmentation is needed is shown by the 3D scan; the costs are set out beforehand in the cost plan. A healthy foundation is important: we treat untreated periodontitis before we place implants.
Ceramic or titanium
Titanium implants have the longest track record of data. Those who wish to avoid metal in the mouth or have an intolerance can choose a ceramic implant made of zirconia. As a rule, we place both using navigation; what makes sense for you is clarified after examination and 3D scan.
So that it lasts
Implants need the same care as your own teeth, plus regular check-ups. In implant prophylaxis we clean the transitions that are hard to reach at home. If the tissue around an implant becomes inflamed (peri-implantitis), we clean the surface, among other methods, electrolytically with the GALVOSURGE system.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Am I too old for an implant? No, age alone is not a reason for exclusion. What matters is your general condition, bone and gums.
- I have diabetes, take blood thinners or take medication for osteoporosis. Then we clarify the procedure beforehand with your GP. Much is possible with good preparation; some things need a different approach. We discuss this when reviewing the findings.
- Does it hurt? We treat under local anaesthesia and with as little pain as possible; what you mainly feel is pressure. Afterwards, an ordinary painkiller for one or two days usually helps. Anyone who is worried can choose sedation or general anaesthesia.
- What if I smoke? Smoking increases the risk that an implant will not integrate. We still place implants, but we talk openly about the risk and about a break around the time of the procedure.
- How long does an implant last? With good care and regular check-ups, many years. Nobody can or may guarantee a particular outcome; we tell you what influences your prognosis. On the implant and crown from our practice we give a five-year guarantee if you attend the recommended prophylaxis and check-up appointments with us; you receive the conditions in writing.
