The use of a rubber dam is a method that has been well established for many years, and which can often achieve better treatment results.
The advantages of a rubber dam:
- With a rubber dam, we can carry out treatment under low-bacteria, dry conditions – this generally allows for a higher rate of treatment success.
- During root canal treatment, a rubber dam protects the root canals from bacteria in the mouth, which increases the chance of the treatment succeeding.
- A rubber dam prevents you from swallowing unpleasant-tasting rinsing solutions.
