In issue 10/2024 of the Implantologie Journal published by the DGZI (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Zahnärztliche Implantologie e.V., German Society for Dental Implantology), master dental technician Sebastian Schuldes and Dr. med. dent. M.Sc. Sandro Strößner published a professional article examining innovative approaches to implant planning and execution in depth.
The article highlights the importance of state-of-the-art technologies, such as virtual computer modelling and three-dimensional X-ray imaging (cone-beam CT), for precise planning and the safe execution of implant treatments.
In the piece, both explain the process steps from detailed diagnostics through to the precisely fitted fabrication of the dental restoration by the dental technician. Through close interdisciplinary collaboration between dentist and dental technician, we can optimise not only the function but also the aesthetics of the restoration. This way of working allows us to treat even complex cases successfully and contributes significantly to our patients' satisfaction.
If you would like to find out more about these innovative treatment methods, we invite you to read our professional article in the DGZI's Implantologie Journal. The article, entitled 'Digitalisierter Workflow und komplexe Sofortversorgung' ('Digital workflow and complex immediate restoration'), begins on page 20 and can be accessed via the following link:
