Tips on Supplementary Dental Insurance

Patients with statutory health insurance pay for professional dental cleaning themselves, and make co-payments for dental prosthetics and certain procedures (such as root canal or periodontitis treatment). Statutory health insurers only cover standard care – higher-quality solutions such as implants, all-ceramic restorations or inlays go beyond this.

Supplementary dental insurance covers personal contributions partially or in full. We are happy to help you choose – given the wide range of tariffs and contract terms, the decision is not straightforward. Important: supplementary insurance should be taken out before any planned treatment; treatment already under way or already recommended is generally not insurable.

Partner Programme – Straumann Group

Immediacy Center of Excellence

The “Immediacy Center of Excellence” is a programme run by the Straumann Group, a global manufacturer of dental implant systems. Practices can take part if they can demonstrate documented case numbers in immediate implant placement (“Immediacy”), regular further training, and a digital planning and manufacturing workflow using the manufacturer's products. Our practice has been a partner practice in this programme since January 2025. Participation is a manufacturer partnership and not an independent certification.

Saturday

What “by arrangement” means

On Saturdays we treat by prior arrangement — specifically for matters that need a long, uninterrupted block of time: implant placements, larger surgical procedures, extensive dental prosthetics, treatment under sedation or general anaesthesia, and appointments for patients who travel a longer distance and would like to have everything done in one day.

For short matters — a polish, a check-up, having a filling looked at — we will find an appointment together during the week. That is usually quicker for you as well.

Whether your case fits, we can clarify on the phone in two minutes.
