After every procedure
- Take it easy on the day of the procedure and, if possible, the following day too: no exertion, no sport, no heavy meals.
- Drink plenty, and nothing very hot at first. No alcohol, coffee, black tea or cola for at least 24 hours.
- Do not smoke, and no e-cigarettes either: for at least 48 hours, preferably seven days. Smoke significantly delays wound healing.
- For swelling, apply cool, damp compresses to the cheek; no ice directly on the skin. Sleep with your upper body raised for the first one or two nights.
- Continue to brush your teeth three times a day, carefully avoiding the treated area, and do not rinse vigorously. Use mouthwash only if we have prescribed it.
- Take prescribed medication exactly as directed and complete the course. No additional painkillers at your own discretion, and above all no aspirin (ASA), as it encourages bleeding. Continue long-term medication as usual unless otherwise agreed.
- Attend the check-up appointment reliably. Stitches are usually removed after 7 to 10 days.

After tooth preparation, with a temporary or after the restoration has been fitted.
