Surgical procedures are carried out by Dr. med. dent. M.Sc. Sandro Strößner and Dr. Zviad Pholadashvili, employed dentist specialising in oral surgery. We work with ultrasonic surgery (Piezo) and laser, on request under sedation or general anaesthesia in our own rooms. After every operation you receive the aftercare instructions on your phone; outside our opening hours the dental emergency service is there for you.

What we operate on
- Wisdom teeth. They have to come out when they have too little space, damage neighbouring teeth or become repeatedly inflamed. Whether they have to come out is shown by the X-ray, and for impacted teeth by the 3D scan, on which we can see the course of the nerve.
- Tooth extraction. As gently as possible, so that the bone is preserved for a later restoration. On request with autologous blood concentrate (PRF) to support wound healing.
- Apicectomy. If an inflammation does not heal after root canal treatment, we remove the root tip together with the inflammation from the outside.
- Exposure of impacted teeth. Teeth that remain stuck in the bone do not always have to be removed.
- Lip and tongue ties. A small procedure, often with the laser, for speech or breastfeeding problems and before orthodontic treatment.
- Surgical crown lengthening. When a tooth is too short for a crown or a lot of gum is visible when smiling.
- Bone augmentation. Sinus lift, bone spreading and bone block, so that an implant finds a firm hold.
- Mini-implants for orthodontics. Small titanium pins as anchorage that can replace headgear and are removed again after treatment.
Before the procedure
We discuss the procedure, risks and alternatives, clarify your medications (for blood thinners in coordination with your GP) and choose the anaesthesia with you: local, sedation or general anaesthesia. You receive the cost plan in writing; for services covered by the statutory health insurance, such as wisdom tooth removal, there is usually no out-of-pocket amount. After the procedure
Cool, rest, no smoking, soft food: you receive the most important rules for the first days as a sheet and as reminders on your phone, day by day. In case of bleeding, increasing swelling or fever, call us, and outside our opening hours the dental emergency service. In detail: Aftercare: the first 14 days.
