Every treatment with us follows a clear path. The figures are typical values from our practice; how things look in your case is set out in the treatment and cost plan after the first appointment.
A tooth is missing or cannot be saved
The typical path to an implant, as it usually takes place with us. The exact number and length of appointments depends on your findings, above all on the available bone.
- Appointments
- 5 to 6
- Period
- 3 to 6 months
- Out-of-pocket amount
- ab 4.100 €
Single-tooth implant with crown, out-of-pocket amount before deduction of the fixed subsidy; bone augmentation and anaesthesia are added depending on the findings. The written treatment and cost plan based on the findings is always binding.
Consultation, examination and 3D X-ray
We examine the tooth, the neighbouring teeth and the bone, usually with a 3D scan (CBCT). You learn whether an implant, a bridge or another solution suits you, and the treatment and cost plan is explained to you at your own pace.
Bring any existing X-rays, your list of medications and your bonus booklet.
Cost plan with the insurer
Patients with statutory health insurance submit the treatment and cost plan to their insurer and receive approval of the fixed subsidy. Privately insured patients clarify reimbursement with their insurer. We help with queries and with financing.
Those who wish to can obtain a second opinion during this time or work out the figures with the cost calculator.
Implant placement
After 3D planning, the implant is placed using navigation (X-Guide), usually through a small access point without a large incision. Local anaesthesia is usually sufficient; on request we treat you under sedation (twilight sleep) or general anaesthesia. With bone augmentation, the appointment takes longer.
Keep the rest of the day free. The aftercare companion will get in touch on your phone from the evening onwards.
Check-up and suture removal
After 7 to 10 days we check the wound and remove the stitches.
Healing phase
The implant integrates with the bone: usually faster in the lower jaw, longer in the upper jaw and after bone augmentation. In the meantime, we bridge a visible gap with a temporary.
Digital scan and crown from our own laboratory
Instead of taking an impression, we scan the implant digitally. The crown, made of zirconia or ceramic, is produced in our laboratory and fitted and adjusted at the second appointment.
Afterwards: check-up and professional cleaning
An implant lasts longest when it is cared for and checked regularly. The professional cleaning also cleans the margin of the implant.

I am afraid of the dentist
The first appointment is not a treatment. You set the pace, and nothing happens that has not been discussed beforehand.
- Appointments
- 3 to 4
- Period
- 4 to 8 weeks
- Out-of-pocket amount
- Statutory services as usual
General anaesthesia costs 300 to 640 € out of pocket depending on the duration (up to 1 hour 300 €, up to 3 hours 640 €). Sedation (twilight sleep) is discussed individually. For certain findings, the statutory health insurance covers the anaesthesia. The written treatment and cost plan based on the findings is always binding.
First meeting in the consultation room
We do not sit at the treatment chair, but at a table. You tell us what worries you, and we explain what treatment with us can look like. We only look in your mouth if you wish.
If you prefer writing to talking: the online reception also takes your request by chat, around the clock.
Examination at your pace
X-ray and examination, with a stop signal: you raise your hand, we stop. Afterwards we know what needs to be done, and you receive a plan with costs.
Treatment under sedation or general anaesthesia
Many anxious patients have everything done in a single session: professional cleaning, fillings, extractions, even implants. You sleep, the anaesthesia team monitors you throughout, and afterwards you rest with us.
Do not eat or drink beforehand, bring an accompanying person and do not drive for 24 hours. The preparation is available as a reminder on your phone.
Aftercare and check-up
After one week we take a look. From here on, appointments are short and predictable, and many people find: it works.
Afterwards: six-monthly check-ups
Short appointments with a person you know. That is how it stays for minor procedures.

I have acute pain
When you are in pain, today is what counts. Call us from 7:30 a.m.; we usually fit patients in pain into the same day.
- Appointments
- 2 to 3
- Period
- today plus 1 to 3 weeks
- Out-of-pocket amount
- usually covered by insurance
Out-of-pocket amounts arise only if you opt for a service above the statutory level, for example 158 to 635 € for a root canal treatment depending on the number of canals. The written treatment and cost plan based on the findings is always binding.
Call or online reception
Briefly describe where it hurts and since when. You will be given a time for the pain clinic. Outside opening hours, the emergency dental service can help.
Until then: cool the area, do not lie down, take a common painkiller as directed on the package leaflet, no aspirin.
Pain clinic
Find the cause (X-ray), then the immediate measure that takes the pain away: opening the tooth, filling, medication, extraction. The aim of the appointment is freedom from pain, not the complete restoration.
Definitive treatment
Root canal treatment, filling or crown, planned at your own pace and with a cost plan whenever a service goes beyond what the statutory health insurance covers.
Afterwards: avoid the cause
Most pain gives advance warning. Check-ups and professional cleaning catch problems before they hurt.

I would like my teeth to look better
Beautiful teeth begin with an honest look: what bothers you, and what is the smallest intervention that resolves it?
- Appointments
- 2 to 5
- Period
- 2 weeks to 12 months (aligners)
- Out-of-pocket amount
- Whitening 479 €, veneer 1,630 € per tooth
Out-of-pocket amounts from 03/2026; purely aesthetic services are not covered by the statutory health insurance. Aligner costs depend on the scope and are set out in the cost plan. The written treatment and cost plan based on the findings is always binding.
Consultation with photos and scan
We take photographs, scan digitally and rank the options by scope: whitening, dental splints (aligners), veneers, crowns. You receive a plan with costs and know what the statutory health insurance covers (usually nothing).
Bring an old photo with you if you like the way your smile used to look.
Professional cleaning as the basis
Before whitening and veneers, plaque is removed, otherwise the result will be uneven. Often the cleaning alone is already a visible step.
The actual treatment
Whitening: 60 to 90 minutes in the practice. Veneers: preparation and scanning, try-in, fitting. Aligners: scan, planning, changing splints every one to two weeks over several months.
Afterwards: preservation
Avoid staining drinks for the first 48 hours, and have a professional cleaning every six months. Care for veneers as you would for your own teeth.

Many teeth are missing or the denture fits poorly
When many teeth are missing, it is about chewing, speaking and confidence. The path depends on how firmly the restoration should sit and what the jaw allows.
- Appointments
- 8 to 10
- Period
- 4 to 8 months
- Out-of-pocket amount
- 9,000 to 24,000 € per jaw
Out-of-pocket amount before deduction of the fixed subsidy: removable on Locators from around 9,000 €, fixed (All-on-4 / All-on-6) 15,000 to 24,000 €. A new complete denture without implants: 1,150 € per jaw. The written treatment and cost plan based on the findings is always binding.
Consultation, 3D X-ray and options
We show the options side by side: a new denture, a denture on two to four implants (Locator), a telescopic restoration or a fixed bridge on four to six implants (All-on-4). With costs, advantages and disadvantages.
Bring your current denture with you, even if you no longer wear it.
Cost plan and approval
Apply for the fixed subsidy, clarify reimbursement and, if desired, set up payment by instalments. For immediate restoration, our laboratory prepares the temporary restoration during this time.
The day of surgery
Teeth that cannot be saved are removed, the implants are placed using navigation, and with “Fixed Teeth in a Day” you go home the same day with a fixed temporary restoration.
An accompanying person and a quiet day afterwards. The aftercare companion gets in touch from the evening onwards.
Check-ups
After one week, after four weeks and before the final restoration. Pressure points and bite are adjusted.
Final restoration
After the healing phase, the final bridge or denture is made in our own laboratory: digitally scanned, tried in, fitted.
Afterwards: implant prophylaxis
Implant-supported restorations need care and check-ups; then they last for many years.
