How the first appointment works
- Getting to know each other. Who you are, what brings you to us, what matters to you, what you are wary of. The conversation takes place in the consultation room, not across the treatment chair.
- Findings. Teeth, gums with pocket measurement, existing restorations, X-ray where needed. For new patients, supplemented by an inflammation test (aMMP-8).
- Honest overview. What is fine, what should be done, what can wait, in what order and with what out-of-pocket amount. Treatment only begins once you know the plan.
In the case of acute pain we reverse the order: help first, the rest afterwards.
What to bring
Insurance card, bonus booklet, list of medications, existing X-rays and dentures, and for children the yellow child health record booklet. You fill in the registration form digitally in advance, on your phone or computer; the transmission is encrypted. Everything else is in the appointment checklist.

- Friday: 07:30 – 14:30
- Saturday: by arrangement, for operations, general anaesthesia and those travelling from further away

Who treats you
Five dentists, each with their own focus: Dr. med. dent. M.Sc. Sandro Strößner, practice owner, for implantology and periodontology; Dr. med. dent. Ricarda Müller, employed dentist, for children; Dr. Lena-Maria Merkle, employed dentist, for orthodontics; Dr. Zviad Pholadashvili, employed dentist, for surgery; Johannes Deutloff, employed dentist, for tooth preservation. Plus prophylaxis, dental technology in our own master laboratory, assistants and a reception that has time for you. All faces: Our team.
Languages
We advise in German and English; within the team we also speak Russian and Georgian. This website is available in seven languages; you are welcome to bring someone to your appointment who can translate.
Statutory or private
You receive all services covered by the statutory health insurance from us, just as in any other practice. Anything beyond that we show you with the price before you decide. A tip before your first visit
If you have not been to the dentist for a long time and have statutory health insurance: think about supplementary dental insurance before we record our first findings. As a rule, insurers exclude anything that had already been diagnosed or recommended when the contract was taken out — so a documented finding about a tooth that needs treatment can later cost you exactly the benefit you are taking out the policy for. The reverse also applies: anyone who takes out a policy beforehand is, as a rule, insured for findings that are only identified afterwards – within the waiting periods and benefit caps of the contract.
